Our Wedding Day

Rita and I have five daughters and twelve grandchildren scattered around the country. We agonized for some time about where to get married. Finally we settled on going to Gatlinburg, TN by ourselves and telling everyone later. We walked down the aisle (all six feet of it :-) of this beautiful, quaint little log chapel together, hand in hand to the minister. It was a very nice ceremony. It turned out that we picked the weekend of the annual Gatlinburg Christmas parade and festival of lights which draws 50,000 people to this small town of 3500 residents. The parade was wonderful, the lights breathtaking and the weatherman even sent snow to celebrate our wedding.
